Health Care Debate

Right now, the country is embroiled in a massive health care debate that has seen as many as five thousand-page bills, millions of dollars in ads, and Congresspeople being shouted down in town halls. Both sides have a fair amount of passion, but some are overdoing it and, I think, doing damage to their cases. So what do you all think?

I just want to say that I'm impressed with Arlen Specter for doing three town halls despite the ruckus that he's had to deal with. He's gotten a lot of crap lately for being a flip-flopper, but he's shown some real fortitude lately.

Do NOT get me involved in this...I am politically aware and am embued with the self-righteousness and zealoustry of being a teenager and having beleifs....lol

Isn't there more important things to worry about, like, I don't know, two wars and the economy. I DO NOT TRUST POLITICIANS. Why give government another thing to lose taxmoney in? The bureaucracy is too large as it is, and the GOP is not helping either.

We should end this topic. Its pointless. Govt in control, sapping life out of society, makes up more dependent on them and weaker...

What other topic would you suggest, MrSciFiGuy? Yeah, of course The Man is in control, but we can have joy no matter what the circumstances are.

Uh-oh. Now they've passed the massive 2,000 page Health Care Bill. Watch out for government agents handing out tax-payer infused hankies. What does this mean for regular citizens?
